Monkey Bar promises a weekend to remember as DJ MoCity, Doowap and The 264 Cru take to the decks this Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August
Dubai, UAE – August, 2022: Turn up the volume and head down to Monkey Bar, the Dubai hotspot on the 6th floor of 25hours Hotel One Central to enjoy the best vibes featuring some of the city’s most popular DJs.
On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August from 9pm onwards, Monkey Bar will see an epic line-up of DJs take to the decks, including The 264 Cru members DJ MoCity, Finlay Lefox, and essarai as well as popular international artist Doowap. The exceptional rotation of DJs will get the party going with a mash-up of the best beats from a mix of genres, such as R&B, Soul, Dancehall, House and Amapiano.
One of the head chiefs at the legendary local collective The 264 Cru, DJ MoCity is an award-winning producer, promoter, and co-founder of South Asia’s first online community radio, boxout.fm. A seasoned DJ, he has curated the sound at events like Sole DXB and more recently Dubai Expo 2020, famous for supplying fun vibes everywhere he goes.
One of the fastest rising stars from South Africa, Khetsiwe ‘Doowap’ Morgan is a sound engineer, DJ, artist and performer, known for her eclectic DJ sets, high energy performances and Afrofuturistic Amapiano sounds. Doowap has played at numerous prestigious events across the globe, including Paris Fashion Week, Afropunk Festival in both Brooklyn and Johannesburg, as well as opening for international acts like MIA in South Africa.
Dubai-based 'Finlay' has been playing at venues across Dubai and the world warming up for some of the world's biggest named artists, playing at international dance music festivals, house parties and radio shows for over 17 years, always serving up a heady mix. 'Finlay' was a promoter of The 264 Cru who threw some of Dubai's best-known parties such as 'Karak Beats' & 'Future Sailors'.
Another member of The 264 Cru, essarai is guaranteed to get the crowd going with his unique mixes exploring all sorts of rhythms, textures and sounds – you can expect top tunes.
