Jaipur, 28 July: The Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF) Store and The Palace Atelier at City Palace, Jaipur launched the 'Teej Pop-Up' to provide a complete experience of the traditional Teej festival on Wednesday. The event will be held from 11 am to 6 pm at Sarvatobhadra Chowk in City Palace till 30 July. Princess Gauravi Kumari also participated in the Teej festival.
On the occasion, Princess Gauravi Kumari said that the 'Teej Experience' has been created by our two brands PDKF Store and The Palace Atelier. It aims to promote the traditional relevance of the popular Teej festival and to give people an experience of the fervour and enthusiasm with which the festival of Teej is celebrated. It is the endeavour of the Royal Family of Jaipur to uphold the customs to preserve the cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
Women wore pink ‘Lehariya’ Sarees and offered traditional prayers to Teej Mata. Along with this, women performed the traditional dance, applied ‘Mehendi’ and enjoyed the swings. In the pop-up, Teej-related products handcrafted by the women of PDKF and readymade garments of ‘Lehariya’, Tie & Dye, Hand Block Prints, etc. are being displayed for sale. Apart from this, entertainment activities like puppet shows and musical performances by folk singers are also being organized in the pop-up. Locals including tourists are getting an opportunity to experience various activities associated with Teej during this festival.
