Jaipur, 21 July: Raising the issue of incomplete roads in the monsoon session of Parliament, MP Diya Kumari said that the speed with which the National Highways and Express Highways are being constructed for smooth movement in the country is commendable. However, the Rajsamand Parliamentary Constituency is a hilly area with odd geographical conditions. It is an area which is famous for its religious and historical heritage, where construction of good roads is necessary for the ease of movement.
Urging for roads under Rule 377, MP Diya Kumari said that work is in progress for the NH 158 which is approved from Mandal Bhilwara to Ras. It should be connected to NH 89 via Riyan Bari, Padu Kallan by extending it 40 km. While the work of NH 458 from Ladnun to Jassa Khera via Merta has been done, the work of the 32-km-road from Raipur to Jassa Khera in the forest area has been left incomplete. DPR for this work is being prepared but there is a lot of delay. This should also be completed soon. Approval of the 58-km-road from Lambiya to Pushkar via Kurki to connect NH 158 with NH 89 has to be declared as an NH. For this, the recommendation of the State Government has been sent to the Union Government.
