Karachi : Indus Motor Company (IMC), true to its commitment to UNs Global Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, has made a Rs 5 Million donation to the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), in furtherance of the hospital’s mission. The cheque was presented by Asad Abdullah, Head of CSR at IMC, to Professor Anwer Naqvi, Professor of Urology SIUT and Provost, SIUT Institute of Medical Sciences.
Sharing his thoughts, Chief Executive, Indus Motor, Ali Asghar Jamali observed, “As a developing country with less than 2% of its GDP allocated for total health expenditures, Pakistan struggles to maintain a proper healthcare system with regard to quality and accessibility. It is essential that Corporates step forward and lend a hand.”
He further added, “SIUT is doing a remarkable job, serving the country’s less privileged, providing them quality healthcare, absolutely free, in particular, its efforts to combat the continuing COVID-19 crisis. I will take this opportunity to congratulate Dr Adib ul Hasan Rizvi’s team for living up to SIUT’s mission under his enlightened leadership.”
IMC is a regular donor to some of the biggest healthcare centers in the country including the JPMC, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, Indus Hospital, The Kidney Centre, etc.
