Dubai : The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) is participating in the 7th Emirates Plastic Surgery Congress under the patronage of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, which will last until January 22nd at the Conrad Dubai Hotel. The Congress welcomes the participation of 70 regional and international speakers and 25 companies displaying the latest medical equipment and devices related to cosmetic surgery.
The 2022 congress theme, ‘Science and Art in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery’ will focus on key breakthroughs, new trends, and the latest advances in this constantly evolving specialty.
During the conference, Dr. Alberto Arguello, a plastic surgeon from Costa Rica and Vice President of International Affairs for AAAASF, discussed the common challenges facing same-day surgery centers all over the world, including things to avoid that commonly put patients at risk. He also spoke about building patient confidence by educating patients and the public about patient safety. Concurrent with the Congress, AAAASF has worked with several centers in Dubai Healthcare City to comply with the day surgery accreditation mandate and liaised with regional centers as part of its accreditation program.
AAAASF has been recognized by the Dubai Health Authority as an approved accreditation provider and has promoted patient safety for over 40 years. AAAASF provides accreditation services to medical facilities and specialized dental clinics. Based on a comprehensive set of clinical standards, AAAASF educates facilities on the safest practices and ensures the highest level of quality, improving medical care for patients worldwide.
AAAASF continues its commitment to disseminate and exchange knowledge and provide the necessary support to medical centers in the United Arab Emirates, in compliance with the UAE Vision 2021.
