Jaipur: Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today and discussed in detail the problems of railways related to her parliamentary constituency. During the meeting, MP Diya Kumari discussed about the development of passenger amenities, stoppage of trains and new railway tracks at railway stations.
The MP urged for re-stopping of Malani Express from Jaisalmer, Barmer to New Delhi Sarai Rohilla in Degana and Gotan. She said that this is an industrial area and commuters travelling from here are facing a lot of inconvenience due to closure of stoppages. Due to this, there is a strong demand by the residents of the area for the stoppage of this train. Along with this, Diya Kumari also requested for stoppages at Gotan for Kalka Express, Merta Road for Bikaner Dadar Express, Jalsu and Kheduli for Jodhpur-Bhopal Express, Gotan and Ren for Salasar Superfast Express, Beawar for Bandra T. Chandigarh Superfast, Sendra for Ala Hazrat Express. She also demanded stoppage in the train of Humsafar Express.
Apart from this, MP Diya Kumari also included the demand for the gauge conversion of Mavli-Marwar railway track in the upcoming rail budget. She requested the Minister to complete this work of the railway track in two phases -- from Nathdwara to Deogarh and from Deogarh to Marwar Junction. Along with this, she also requested for the approval of the construction of a foot over bridge (FOB) with two lifts and automatic stairs on the platforms at Ren railway station and new railway lines on Ras-Merta, Bar-Bilara and Pushkar-Merta route.
