India Travel Mart (ITM) Jaipur receives overwhelming response

Jaipur: This year, B2B Travel & Tourism showcase & conclave, India Travel Mart ITM-JAIPUR received overwhelming response from travel trade fraternity and localities.


ITM is supported by travel trade associations like the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), ADVENTURE TOUR OPERATORS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (ATOAI), India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA), Maharashtra Tour Organizers Association (MTOA), The IAAI Agents Association of India (IAAI), Travel Trade Association of Uttar Pradesh (TTAUP), Enterprising Travel Agent's Association, (ETAA), Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), Tour Operators Association (TOA), Tourism Leaders Club (TLC), Indian Association of Travel and Tourism Experts (IATTE), Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA), Tourism Unity Club (TUC), Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) and Travel Magazine- Travel Mail.
On the occasion of ITM Jaipur, one to one interaction session along with the video presentations was held between the officials from Ministry of Tourism (India Tourism), Gujarat Tourism, Rajasthan Tourism, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Tamil Nadu Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, Goa Tourism, Punjab Tourism, Himachal Pradesh Tourism, Uttarakhand Tourism and travel trade fraternity and media from Jaipur.
During the session and presentations, state tourism officials highlighted the lesser known destinations, wildlife tourism, heritage tourism, Adventure & Eco Tourism, Religious & Pilgrimage Tourism, Beaches,  places of interest, cuisines, fair and festival of their particular states, customized packages being offered, new innovations being done, offbeat destinations, promotions being done in the respective states and more about the respective states.
Below are highlighted points of presentations from different tourism boards.
Ms. Sumita Meena, Assistant Director, Rajasthan Tourism said, Focus on Lesser-known destinations in the Southern region of Rajasthan particularly on Adventure Tourism, Eco-Tourism and Nature-based activities, Heritage Tourism and Religious Tourism soaring high for the State. Among the domestic tourists, the focus would be on experiential tourism.

Dr. Ahsaan-ul-Haq, Dy. Director Tourism, Kashmir and Mr. Naresh Kumar DDT Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism said, the participating tour operators were informed about the lesser-known and upcoming destinations in the Union Territory being promoted by the Department. The tour operators evinced keen interest in the infrastructure, logistic details, and packages about these destinations and said they would include these destinations in their itineraries and packages for the upcoming tourist season. The J&K stall at the event also witnessed a good activity with visitors particularly tour operators and potential tourists evincing keen interest in the tourism infrastructure, logistic details, and packages. Offbeat destinations: Gurez,  Tosamaidan, Verinag Ahrabal, Buderwah, sanasar,  Krimchi temple,  lolaab valley, jai valley are being promoted.

Mr. Saurabh Pandey, Assistant Manager, Events & Publicity & Mr Devinder Rai, Resident Manager, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, said, Highlighting the major events and festivals of Madhya Pradesh MP Tourism inaugurated Annual Tourism promotion event “JalMahotsav – (two month long adventure festival from 20th November 2021 to 20th January 2022 at Hanuwantiya)” while “Tansen Music Festival - Gwalior (From 26th to 30th Dec. 2021)”,  “ManduUtsav – Mandu (From 30th December 2021 till 03rd Jan 2022)”, “Go Heritage Run at (Mandu 19th Dec.21, Burhanpur 16th Jan.22, Gwalior 30th Jan.22, Orchha 20th Feb.22, Khajuraho 27th Feb.22, Pench 13th Mar.22)” are coming up next and very popular amongst the trade people and tourists from various regions of the country. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is also developing and promoting various tour itineraries and organizing FAM Tours for Travel Agents, Tour Operators, and Media persons around these festive locations to highlight these festivals. We are promoting the state as the destination that fits into the frame of experiential activities. Responsible Tourism, Activity filled tourism, Wellness, and Mindful tourism. We are into the promotion of Homestays, Gramstays and Farmstays as a safe and culturally rich stay option for the guests to experience the rich Rural Culture, Food and Traditions of the State and have healthy nonpolluted tourism and we have special itineraries created for our source markets to promote Destination Madhya Pradesh.

Mr. Harsh Mittal, Manager - Marketing, Punjab Tourism, Govt. of Punjab said, Punjab Tourism, Govt. of Punjab recently made its appearance at ITM Jaipur. The state sharing a domestic border with Rajasthan state welcomes a lot of self-drive travelers from Rajasthan. During a presentation to all the travel delegates, Mr. Harsh Mittal, who looks after marketing for Punjab Tourism said, that Punjab is highly active in promoting itself now. This new promotional strategy of Punjab Tourism offers experience-based travel in Punjab. Food, culture, history, spirituality, rural, festivals are one of the few themes on which the Dept. Of Tourism, Govt. of Punjab is promoting the state. Punjab aims to mark a place for itself among top Indian Tourism destinations and also add Amritsar in The Golden Triangle.
On the closing day mementos were given to the participants of ITM in various categories.

Jammu & Kashmir Tourism: Best Stall for promoting lesser known destinations & off beat destinations like Gurez,  Tosamaidan, Verinag Ahrabal, Buderwah, sanasar,  Krimchi temple,  lolaab valley, jai valley are being promoted.

Uttarakhand Tourism: Best Stall for promoting Home Stays- Aapuno Uttarakhand, Pilgrims, Adventure, Boating, Rafting and Trekking

PUNJAB TOURISM: Best Stall award for promoting Dastaan-e-Shahadat Theme Park, Sri Chamkaur Sahib

After the grand success in Jaipur, ITM now travels to New Delhi for this year 2021 and Dehradun for 2022.

Mr. Ajay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, ICM Group said that the continued success of the showcase & conclave over the last few years reflects the growing demand for travel services in India and the spending power of Domestic and Outbound Travelers’.
