FUEL THE MIND THIS RAMADAN WITH THE FLOW TALKS SERIES

Dubai, UAE : Flow, Dubai’s pioneering healthy-eating hub, has gathered an inspirational star cast of experts in art, fitness, nutrition and more as part of its month-long Flow Talks Series – Ramadan Edition. The live sessions will take place every Tuesday evening at 4pm throughout the Holy Month, on Flow’s Instagram.

The Ramadan Edition is designed to stimulate the mind through conversations around Emirati culture and the values of Ramadan, while discussing a wide range of topics, personal experiences, lessons, and motivation to inspire and engage viewers of all nationalities. Topics will range from mindfulness and sustainable eating, Ramadan diets, the benefits of yoga, and carrying forward values learnt during the Holy Month. Also on the agenda are live masterclasses that give tips on how to express yourself through art and beauty.

Running every Tuesday at 4pm from 20 April to 11 May, the Flow Talks Series – Ramadan Edition will feature:

Zahra Abdalla: Kicking off the inspirational series on Tuesday 20 April is Zahra, an established chef, author and food content creator who describes herself as a modern-day Bedouin. During her session for Flow, she will discuss the importance of sustainable eating and mindfulness during the Holy Month. As a third culture kid, Zahra has had the opportunity to experience living across the globe. Her home doubles up as a studio where she creates modernised spins on Middle Eastern food passed on to her from previous generations and will share some advice for Iftar meal preparation.

Nadine Hossam: On Tuesday 27 April, creative make-up artist Nadine is set to take over Flow’s Instagram to talk about the importance of nurturing your soul and skincare, beauty from within, and staying true to who you are. Nadine has been an advocate for expressing herself without limitations using make-up and continues to inspire young women. She will also give advice on products that can be used when getting ready for Iftar or Suhoor through a tutorial.

Mona Fares: To engage families and adults alike, UAE-based artist and designer Mona Fares will take over Flow’s Instagram on Tuesday 4 May for an art masterclass on tie-dying items found at home – so viewers can keep white-fabric based items such as a pair of white sneakers, t-shirts, jeans or tote bags aside that need a makeover. Mona has acquired a sense of belonging to the local culture and is the mastermind behind some of the murals at icon destination Souk Madinat Jumeirah and enriched the early Dubai art and fashion landscape with her art exhibitions and unique style and is the founder of a clothing line called NEON EDGE. Guided by her love for children and passion for design, she has managed various projects and establishments for children focusing on workshops, events, and edutainment.

Nancy Zabaneh: Having been a resident of Dubai for 20 years, Nancy is a pioneer of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness in the Arab world, and an active Kundalini Yoga teacher and trainer with the New Mexico-based Aquarian Teacher Academy (KRI). Nancy will take over Flow’s Instagram to conclude the series on Tuesday 11 May, talk about how one can benefit from yoga, how it helps purify the body and soul while controlling emotions, and how to carry forward values learnt during the Holy Month.
