Hyderabad : The Netplay Sports Telangana State Squash Closed Championship 2021 concluded today at Gamepoint, a multi sports center at Madhapur, Hyderabad. This tournament was conducted under the aegis of Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI)and Telangana Squash Rackets Association over two dayson 6th and 7th April 2021and featured multiple individual events.
The event attracted squash players from across the state and featured well fought matches with many of the ties going to the wire.Rajat Kumarwon the Men’s category by beating Tushar Kothariin the final. AishwariaPayyan emerged victor in the Women’s category.
The tournament was conducted in multiple categories includingGirls Under 13, Boys Under 13, Boys Under 17, Women, Men, Men over 35 and Men over 45.
Sri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary IT and President, Telangana Olympic Association was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. The event was presided by Sri Sri Vishnu Raju Nandyala, President, Telangana Squash Rackets Association. Sri A Jagan Mohan Rao, President, Handball Federation of India was the special guest.
