Kochi, May 09th- 2024: Commemorating World Thalassemia Day Aster Medcity hosted Karuthal 2.0, a get together of Thalassemia patients who have successfully recovered from the disorder from Aster Medcity and the existing patients in the hospital . As part of the occasion, Karuthal 2.0 Digital Card were launched to support individuals affected by Thalassemia.
Building upon the success of last year's Karuthal-2023 initiative, the Karuthal 2.0 Digital Card aims to provide comprehensive assistance and benefits to Thalassemia patients throughout their healthcare journey. The card offers privileges, including a 50% discount on doctor consultations, a 20% discount on Outpatient (OP) services, and a 10% discount on Outpatient Procedures (OP Procedures). Additionally, recipients of the card enjoy a 10% discount on their Inpatient (IP) bills.
Thalassemia is a serious inherited blood disorder characterized by reduced oxygen-carrying protein and fewer red blood cells than normal, posing significant health challenges to those affected.
The digital card was launched by Farhaan Yasin, Vice President of Aster India and patients participating in the event were also presented with thoughtful gifts.There were magic show as part of the event.
Doctors from Aster Medcity such as Dr. Shwetha Sitaram (Consultant Pediatric Oncology), Dr. Ramaswamy N V (Senior Consultant Hematology and Hemato Oncology), Dr. Deepak Charles (Consultant Hematology and Hemato Oncology), and Dr. Mobin Paul (Consultant Hematology and Hemato Oncology), attended the event.
