Chevella is fortunate to have a candidate like Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, with a bold vision that aligns perfectly with the needs of the constituency, he can stand alongside Modi, sharing & supporting his vision: Shri K. Annamalai

Hyderabad, May 8th, 2024Shri K. Annamalai, Ex IPS and BJP State President, Tamil Nadu and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the BJP candidate for the Chevella Parliamentary constituency; had a free-flowing interaction and responded to questions from the audience at a program organised by Forum for IT Employees (FITE), Telangana, at Sandhya Convention, today.

Shri K. Annamalai said, there is an idea about how an Member of Parliament be, he should be someone with a vision and foresight, he should ideate, a person who can guide the country to a future we are dreaming off. Parliamentary elections are not an election to fix a pothole, this is an election to choose a visionary and I am delighted to be sitting in front of a visionary Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who achieved many things in the sector he worked. Chevella is fortunate to have a candidate with a bold vision perfectly aligned with the needs of the constituency. He is someone who can stand alongside Modi ji and ideate and contribute to Modi ji’s vision. Look at his credentials, qualifications, he is cut above the others, there is no competition between him and other candidates. The reason why everyone trusts Modi ji is, he is one step ahead of the curve. In the parliament when Modi ji spoke about digitisation, he had a vision of the entire country becoming digitised effortlessly, seamlessly. I remember the former finance minister P. Chidambaram saying India is not that advanced, someone selling on the roadside can’t get integrated. It’s a matter of delight for all of us that today 46% of world’s digital payments happens in this country. Modi ji is trying to channelise the spirit and ensure we are one step ahead of the curve. We are currently $ 3.8 trillion economy right now, Modi ji’s vision is to become number one country in the world. China is at $ 17 trillion, Americans are at $ 30 trillion, if you plot this in a map, India has to achieve a growth of 15.5% starting from today, while Americans are growing at 4%, both of us will have matching economy in 2047. Is 15.5% growth realistically possible, it is possible because India can do something the world hasn’t done till now, AI along with technology and our other strengths have to play a role.  Because the growth we are talking about hasn’t been seen by any country in the world till date, we are already adding 1 trillion in a matter of six years, the next 1 trillion we will add in a matter of two years and the next 1 trillion we will add in a matter of an year and then in a matter of months, because we are looking to achieve that speed. It’s possible because we are building real time infra, roads, ports, airports, vande bharat, inland water management and more. To achieve it we need to travel faster, internet speed should be faster, technology has to get cheaper. Telangana is a state where they are not investing on infra, the roads in Hyderabad are in despicable state, while you are wanting to be a global city, but in the most happening part of the city people are not in a position to navigate. The governments here are not focusing on infra, because they don’t get votes, politicians are smart, they know which side of the bread is buttered. Modi ji is breaking this mindset, he is not looking for votes, his decisions are not on the basis of pleasing someone, but because there is a need for it.

Congress has been giving the same slogan for decades of Garibhi Hatao, eliminate poverty, but it built less than 40 lakh houses all those years, while Modi ji built 4 crore houses. In 2014, when Modi ji took over only 64% of India had gas connections in 74 years and after that Modi ji ensured 100% LPG connection. 49 crore people got a bank account in the last ten years. 18000 villages didn’t have electric power when Modi ji took over and now whole of India is electrified. The scale achieved in the last ten years is enormous. India has achieved something no democratic government has achieved in the last ten years. If Modi ji is not there, if Congress was continuing since 2014, the internal problems, be it North East, Naxal problem, would have multiplied by many times, because of their appeasement politics, investment wouldn’t have come, world would have ignored India, dynastic politics would have become the order of the day with no accountability to common man, the country could have even faced an internal civil war situation. Today everyone is confident of becoming number one economy, could we have imagined in 2010, even smaller countries were ahead of us, the image of India was of being corrupt, country of snake charmers. Today they look upon India as a country with real potential and not taken lightly in the global world. First time we are seeing and Indian democracy functioning without corruption. Look at Congress now and BRS in the past, they were the mother of corruption, no single day passed without it. Nobody can point a finger at this government for any malpractices. As part of judicial reforms we have taken out 18,000 unwanted laws, this is the single biggest house cleaning done by anybody in just ten years. Modi ji is pushing for integration of technology in judicial reforms, in addition the  he is working towards court proceedings being in mother tongue and Supreme Court judgments being available in mother tongue, currently in eight languages the SC judgements are available, added Shri Annamalai.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said, farmers stand to gain significant advantages from the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana, particularly in addressing the pressing issue of crop loss. This initiative can alleviate farmers' distress considerably and ought to be promptly implemented in our state. The challenges faced by farmers are indeed diverse, often differing based on the crops they cultivate. The actual solution lies in the three farm bills introduced by Prime Minister, which offer a comprehensive approach to address the multifaceted issues plaguing the agricultural sector. We need reforms in the farming sector, which foster efficiency and empower farmers. Relying solely on MSP isn't the ultimate solution, we need to leverage the potential of a Futures Market, which offers a more dynamic approach. That way farmers get much higher price than the MSP and will have liberty to buy what they want. Modi ji wanted to go in this direction, the earlier governments lacked the courage. The three farm bills introduced by Modi ji aimed to boost farmers' purchasing power, granting them the freedom to afford the goods they desire.

When we politicians meet people they generally ask for something, especially their immediate needs, but the most amazing thing is Modi did things which people never asked for, nobody asked for bank accounts and they didn’t see any benefit coming out of it, but today they realise the importance of that act, as they get the money through direct transfer, without a penny loss. People had a need for bathroom, but nobody asked for it, it was Modi ji, who foresaw the need and fulfilled it. The next five years are going to be really exciting, because Modi built platforms, be it physical infrastructure or digital infrastructure and we are ready to leap off. If we can cross some of the hurdles laid by the opposition like on three farm bills, electricity amendment bills, we can reach the target of becoming number 1 economy in the world, well ahead of 2047, added Vishweshwar Reddy.

The traffic jams in the city are primarily because the Town planners are not designing the town but the real estate tycoons are the one deciding on the roads, such coteries are influencing the governments decisions and implementation. In circumstance like this an opposition MP can make a difference, he can question the government and keep a check on such things and make the government take corrective action. There are lots of funds which come from Central governments, the state governments keep asking for more funds without using these. So an MP from BJP can be a watchdog and ensure implementation by the state government, rather than a ruling party MP, that way I am going to be in that strong opposition. Regarding the Judicial reforms, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said, we need to get rid of antiquated laws and the current government did lot of progress, however lot of interference is not to the liking of judiciary and need to handle it without compromising on the independence of the judiciary.
