Thiruvananthapuram, May 08: A summer camp for school students, packed with a range of exciting activities brimming with play and fun, has been planned jointly by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), Kerala Academy of Skills Excellence (KASE) and the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village from May 15 to 21 at the latter’s campus at Vellar near Kovalam.
Styled as ‘Kalapila, the camp is open to students of 7th to 12th standard.
The seven-day residential camp, where activities will span between 6.30 am and 9.30 pm on all days, will take care of all the needs of the participants including accommodation and food.
The participants can also choose non-residential option, for whom local conveyance will be arranged for commuting.
The camp will feature a range of activities cutting across domains like science, art, craft, literature, theatre, sports and skill development. These include terracotta pottery, kuruthola craft, painting, face painting, music, theatre, skywatching, kalari, kite flying, animal flow, photography, night walk, nature walk, authors’ meet and cultural programmes.
