Trivandrum, October 16, 2023: InApp, a software development company based in Technopark and Infopark presented the 12th CSI (Computer Society of India) InApp National Student Project Awards on October 12th at the Hotel Gokulam Grand, Aakulam. The project on Intelligent Sugarcane Eye Bud Cutter For Nurseries from Kolhapur Institute of Technology's College of Engineering Autonomous, Maharashtra was adjudged the best project in this year's CSI-InApp National Student Project contest. Dr. Ajit Samagonda Patil led the team of Yash Bhalchandra Petkar, Prerna Vijay Rawale, Ravi Rajesh Shah, and Adesh Ashok Ingale. The consolation prizes were shared by the projects KalMiFyn from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Technology, Maharashtra. The team of Abhishek Khandge, Tanishk Jain, Rhutuja Vispute, Richa Bhandari was guided by Prof.Sejal Shah and Secure Digital identity using NFTs from P.D.A. College of Engineering, Karnataka received a special mention from the jury. The team of Venkatesh Patil,Spoorti S Patil, Syed Yaseen Raza was guided by Dr. Jayashree Agarkhed.
Dr. Saji Gopinath, Vice Chancellor, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University was the Chief Guests of the event. This award program is a collaborative effort between the Computer Society of India Trivandrum chapter and InApp Information Technologies and serves to recognize excellence, innovativeness, and practical relevance in student software projects from around the country. Its purpose is to identify and acknowledge outstanding software projects created and executed by college students. The competition's academic partner is APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Through this initiative, they offer a distinctive opportunity for young talents in the country to display their concepts and showcase their projects to a panel of industry experts. This interaction with technology leaders from the industry facilitates valuable learning experiences for the participants.
This year the event received 600+ project submissions from across 10 states in the country. Two rounds of evaluation have been completed, where the judging panel evaluated an interesting mix of software solutions, some of which use the latest technologies such as (Machine learning, Deep learning, Blockchain, IoT, and Image processing). The final round of evaluation, where 15 teams from different parts of the country have demonstrated the working model of their projects.
The CSI InApp International Student Project Awards was launched 12 years ago to provide a unique platform for college students to showcase their software development skills. Coordinated by the Computer Society of India, Trivandrum chapter and InApp Information Technologies, the program identifies exceptional student projects in collaboration with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Judged by a carefully selected group of experienced, highly qualified and well-respected project professionals, entries are welcomed from institutions of engineering education from around the country.
