Jaipur, 21 November: Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari today met the General Manager of North Western Railway, Mr. Vijay Sharma at his office. Various railway issues related to Jodhpur and Ajmer division of parliamentary constituency Rajsamand were discussed. The shortcomings of Ren Railway Station including coach indication boards on platforms of the railway station, covering of foot overbridges, waiting rooms for differently abled, installation of benches, providing escalators and wheelchairs, security arrangements, among others were highlighted. The MP requested for the timely completion of these works.
Similarly, issues of Merta and Degana stations such as arrangement of seating for passengers, drinking water problem, installation of high mast lights, setting up security post, etc. were also discussed. Keeping in view convenience of passengers, the MP also asked for stoppage of important trains at railway stations of Ren, Degana, Merta Road, Jalsu etc. railway stations.
