Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Global athletic leader New Balance and fashion darling STAUD will launch the third instalment of their collaboration with a collection featuring two new footwear silhouettes, accessories and apparel that marries sport and style.
The collection is a celebration of the outdoors while telling a story of heritage and versatility rooted in design and effortless charm. The footwear featured is the continuation of the New Balance 327, designed in classic blues, and the newly introduced 57/40, coloured with summer hues of green and yellow, both offered in unisex sizing for the first time.
The collection features playful nods to tennis and boxing such as a shirred waistband boxing short that pairs with a shoelace cinched waist jacket, both offering a modern twist on classics and can be worn on tough training days or for relaxing strolls. The collection also features classic tennis staples like a skort and lightweight dress with corset-inspired contrasting binding. As a final touch, the signature beaded Tommy bag is re-imagined as a tennis ball.
“For the summer collection, we reimagined some of my favorite outdoor sports to reflect the STAUD DNA. Traditional elements from tennis, running, and boxing are updated in sun-bleached pastels with feminine details and fabrics that include, satin, mesh and corseting. Some of my favorite pieces include a classic white tennis dress updated with colorful binding, a satin boxing short paired with a cropped jacket, and of course our signature beaded Tommy Bag. We are also excited to launch two unisex sneakers for the first time- the 57/40 and the 327- each reimagined to compliment the collection and your lifestyle. All of the pieces work together to create a collection versatile enough to take you from boxing to brunch or anywhere in between,” says STAUD co-founder Sarah Staudinger.
Together the collection embodies a strong and trend-forward sensibility offering versatility, style, and comfort. Fitness is a personal journey, and this collection emulates the balance between training and one’s own individuality outside of fitness.
The New Balance x STAUD collection will launch on June 24, 2021 in the UAE and 1st of July in KSA & KWT. Retail pricing will be AED 549 for each of the shoe styles. Footwear styles will be offered in unisex sizing.
