Chennai: Medall Diagnostics, India’s leading integrated diagnostic services provider, today announced the revoking of the suspension of its license vide R. No. 48051/Epi/S3/2021 dated 28.05.2021, from Director of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Govt. of Tamilnadu. The original suspension was issued by the same department under Notice No. 48051/Epi/S3/2021 dated May 21, 2021. The inspection team which visited the premises found the testing process to be satisfactory and the entire lab to be following all set guidelines. It advised Medall to have its staff at the lab vaccinated and to ensure the data with ICMR gets updated with the corrected data. ICMR database has since been updated with the correct data and most staff at the lab vaccinated with the rest to be completed contingent to vaccine availability. Medall has added a layer of supervision to avoid such clerical error while inputting test data into the ICMR servers, in the future which was also a recommendation of the inspection committee.
In his comments, Arjun Ananth, CEO, Medall, said “I am relieved to see our testing process rigor and sanctity validated and there being nothing to prove the alleged nexus between Medall and any hospital. Over and above this, we have also partnered various Siddha Institutes to evaluate the efficacy of Siddha medicine in treating COVID-19,” he further added.
